KINO FUTURES WORKSHOPS : BIAFF GEORGIA
Postcode Films and BIAFF are very excited to announce the launch of Kino Futures.
Developed in partnership with the British Council, Kino Futures is a series of documentary workshops in the Black Sea region, aiming to engage and develop the talents of young filmmakers, as well as create a series of film ‘postcards’ that will be relayed throughout the region and internationally.
The project will begin this year at the Batumi Art House Film Festival in Georgia, in September 2012, where the workshops will be led by Elhum Shakerifar, Ed Owles and Zviad Eliziani, and will include master-classes with award-winning British filmmaker Sean McAllister.
We will work with 3 groups to produce short films during the week. Each group will be made up of 4 people (film makers, script-writer, camera man) who will work together to produce a short film and benefit from the in depth support of facilitators on areas including production, pitching and editing. Please note that workshops will be in English. Applications from individuals as well as groups of 4 will be accepted – if applying as an individual, you will be put into a group of 4 with whom you will work to be a short film.
